Formerly from St Emilion, the Lavau Family has been involved in winemaking for several generations, from Bordeaux to the hills of Tunisia. In 1964, seduced by the richness and quality of the Provencal soil, they decided to settle in the Rhône Valley. 40 years later, the cellar is currently managed by Benoit and Frederic Lavau. The family own 3 cellars in the south of the Rhône Valley, where they are in partnership with 300 grape growers.

RWS carries 3 Lavau wines: Côtes du Rhône Blanc, Côtes du Rhône Rouge, and Gigondas.

The Côtes du Rhône Blanc is a fruity wine with a naturally high concentration of aromas. It reveals intense fruit notes and a nice body. This wine is perfect with grilled fish, chesse-based disches and salad or just to enjoy on its own.

The Côtes du Rhône Rouge is a medium-bodied red with a rich and spicy bouquet of red berries, soft and ripe tannins lead to a warm finish. This wine has intense fruit aromas and flavors, and is perfect with grilled or roasted meats, tomato based pasta dishes, cheese or enjoy just on its own.

Gigondas is harvested by hand from the steep terraced hillsides of Gigondas.  Rich and well balanced, this wine is perfect with elaborated sauce dishes, a piece of meat and cheese. You can also enjoy this wine on its own.
