Domaine du Banneret

Our three hectares of vineyards are divided into seven parcels. Thirteen varieties are planted except Syrah. The most prolific grape grown is Grenache, which provides the general structure of the wine. Mourvèdre and Syrah add color and aromas. The other varieties each give a specific note for their particular white floral bouquet, freshness, and acidity.

We appreciate the young vintages for their very distinctive nose dominated by red fruit. The tannins are still firm but silky. The older vintages, ample and good structure are generous and persistent. The tannins are melted and let come notes of leather and jammy cassis. Ruby colored with purple reflections playing in brick-red glints, typical nose of jammy red fruit and spicy with notes of undergrowth. On the palate: volume, beautiful structure, tannins and refining over time.

This Chateauneuf-du-Pape is a great wine for aging.
