Bodegas Costers del Sió

In the old days, the stables and the food supplies of the Earls of Urgell (798-1413) were located in these lands in Flix, Ribera del Sió. Now we have designed a viticulture project addressed to obtain high quality wines with all the nuances and flavours that the rich soil and microclimate of the riverside offer us.

Petit Siós Blanco is a good balance between fruit, freshness and body.
45% Sauvignon Blanc
40% Chardonnay
15% Muscat petit Grain
The grapes are harvested manually in the early hours of the morning. Cold maceration. Each variety of grapes is prepared separately. Alcoholic fermentation at 14-15 ºC for 18 days.

Petit Siós Tinto is a harmonious combination of fruit and balsamic notes.
45% Tempranillo
40% Cabernet Sauvignon
15% Garnacha tinta
Silky and well balanced. Each variety is harvested separately between September and October to ensure optimum ripeness. Alcoholic fermentation at 22 ºC for 15 days. Cold maceration. Four months in 300 litre French oak barrels.

Les Creus is a modern wine with a fresh and fruity character.
85% Tempranillo
15% Garnacha
Production does not exceed 5,500 kg/ha. Cold pre-fermentation maceration. The grapes are fermented at a controlled temperature of less than 25 ºC, with regular delestages and pigeage until racking. Aged for 9 months in 300 litre French oak barrels. Further ageing in bottles for a minimum of 6 months.
